Senior Cloud Operations Engineer
We usually respond within a week
TL;DR
→ Senior Operations Engineer in Redeploy's managed services team, keeping enterprise cloud environments running across Azure and AWS, 365 days a year.
→ Escalation point for the team and for clients: you coordinate incident response, unblock colleagues, and raise the bar technically.
→ More distinct environments and technical challenges in a year than most ops roles offer in five.
What you'll do
Run is Redeploy's managed services arm. Our operations teams own a broad portfolio of client cloud environments, taking full responsibility for their reliability, security and continuous improvement across both Azure and AWS. Clients range from regulated financial services organizations and large enterprise names to smaller, fast-moving companies. No on-prem, no physical infrastructure.
As a Senior Operations Engineer, you take on the most complex challenges and support colleagues when they need it. When major incidents affect multiple client environments, you step in to coordinate the response: providing technical direction, sharing your expertise, and working closely with the team and stakeholders to resolution. Solving hard problems is part of it. Making the team around you better is what defines the role.
A few examples of what this looks like in practice:
Improving monitoring across client environments: Turning fragmented alerting setups into clear, actionable monitoring that reduces noise and helps the team respond faster.
Leading incident response: Taking charge of critical incidents, working with the team to resolve issues under pressure, capture learnings, and drive lasting improvements.
Automating repetitive operational work: Identifying manual tasks with the team and building automation that removes unnecessary effort and frees up time for higher-value work.
Driving proactive service improvements: Reviewing operational patterns across client environments, identifying gaps in tooling, processes, or coverage, and turning them into improvements that raise reliability and the quality of service clients experience.
What you get
Breadth that builds you fast. A varied client portfolio means constant exposure to different architectures, stacks, and operational challenges. Regulated environments, enterprise-scale systems, multiple cloud setups: you'll build an operational range that single-client roles rarely match.
Work that's hard to come by elsewhere. Few managed services roles give you direct, end-to-end ownership across a portfolio of this scale. You own the environments, the outcomes, and the quality.
Your direction, your call. Go deeper into technical operations and resilience engineering, move towards a lead role within Run, or cross into Redeploy's Consulting side and grow towards architecture and advisory work. Colleagues have taken both paths.
People who make you better. The people here care about the work. Engineers who go deep because they want to, hold themselves to a high standard, and get restless when things stop moving. Client satisfaction sits at around 96%, against an industry average of 85%. That number reflects the people, ownership and the care behind the work.
The perks. 30 days vacation · hybrid work · private medical insurance · pension (ITP1) · wellness allowance 5,000 SEK · free choice of tools and tech · free breakfast, soda and snacks · yearly gatherings and AW's · a team with genuine interests outside work: gaming, food, running, padel, golf, football, cycling
Who you are
You're structured and service-minded, and you take ownership without being told to. You're comfortable working independently, but you don't thrive alone: you want to be part of a team, contribute to something shared, and help the people around you improve. You ask questions about inherited tools and processes, and when you spot something that could be improved, you say so and do something about it.
What you bring
Solid hands-on experience with Azure and AWS cloud operations: AKS/EKS/K8, governance, compliance, security and AI-frameworks
Experience with scripting, automation and infrastructure as code (Terraform), including building and maintaining CI/CD workflows
Incident response and structured RCA, with a track record of turning findings into improvements
Active user of AI-assisted tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or similar
Fluency in Swedish and English
Strong plus:
SRE practices: SLOs, SLIs, error budgets
FinOps and cloud cost optimisation
Advanced observability: metrics, logging, tracing
ISO 27001 or structured security frameworks
Background in financial services or other regulated industries/environments
Experience mentoring engineers
Relevant certifications

The hiring process
Selection
Once we receive your application, our Talent Team reviews it to assess your background and experience.
First point of contact
If there's a potential match, we'll reach out by email or phone to set up a first call. Keep an eye on your inbox.
Keep an eye on your inbox (and spam folder!) so you don’t miss us.
TA-Screening
Your first conversation is with someone from our Talent Team. We'll cover your background, what you're looking for and how the role fits. You'll also get a clear picture of how we work at Redeploy and there's always time for your questions.
In-depth interview
Next, you'll meet the manager for the area. Together, you'll go deeper into how we work, what kind of assignments you'd be involved in and what the day-to-day actually looks like. It's also a chance for both sides to assess the match: background, way of working and team fit.
Skills interview
This is where we look more closely at how you think and work. Depending on the role, you'll walk through a case, discuss real scenarios or talk us through your approach to a problem. You'll also get a better sense of how we collaborate and what it's like to work at Redeploy day-to-day.
Final interview
In the final step, you'll meet one of our managers. The conversation focuses on your goals, how you want to develop and what we expect from the role. You'll also get a full picture of our offer: compensation, benefits and what comes next. The aim is that you leave with no open questions.
Offer & pre-boarding
If it feels right on both sides, we take references and move forward with an offer. Once the contract is signed, we set a start date and kick off pre-boarding. Before day one, we make sure you're set up and we invite you to team activities so you're already part of the team before you walk through the door.

Let’s break it down. "Redeploy" means to move or rearrange something for a better purpose. When we launched, the term wasn't really a thing in the data/IT world. Now, it's all about taking what's already there and setting it up somewhere better. That's exactly what we do—help our customers spot opportunities and redeploy them into smarter, stronger solutions.
