NetOps Engineer
We usually respond within a week
TL;DR
→ Whether you're looking for a permanent role in Stockholm or prefer to work freelance, we want to talk to you.
→ Own the day-to-day of a large, business-critical Fortigate environment spanning on-prem and Azure.
→ Work daily alongside experienced network and cloud engineers, as part of a dedicated Ops team.
→ Real tickets, real infrastructure, real impact.
What you'll do
As a NetOps Engineer, you'll join our Ops team in Stockholm and abroad, and work closely with one of our largest enterprise clients. Your main focus will be operating, improving and troubleshooting their Fortigate environment, while navigating a complex network setup spanning on-prem components and Azure cloud.
Your work will range from daily tickets and change requests to deeper troubleshooting, log analysis, policy refinement, and larger initiatives such as network segmentation or cloud networking improvements. The environment is large, fast-moving, and business-critical, giving you plenty of opportunities to learn, collaborate, and solve real problems with experienced engineers.
You'll primarily work from our Stockholm office, with flexibility to work from home at times, and occasional on-site days at the client's office when the work calls for it. This role also includes a rotating on-call schedule (one week at a time, with additional compensation).
We're open to bringing you on board as a permanent hire in Stockholm or as a freelancer, depending on what works best for you.
What you'll grow into
You'll deepen your skills in Fortigate, FortiManager, cloud networking and enterprise-scale ops. But your growth won't stop at this client. As Redeploy continues to build out its networking capabilities, you'll be able to work on additional NetOps projects, influence our network practice and collaborate across delivery teams.
If you're curious about cloud, you'll find clear paths into CloudOps, automation, IaC and hybrid cloud operations. Whether you want to specialise further in networking or expand into broader cloud-focused ops, we'll help you shape a direction that aligns with your strengths and ambitions.
Who we're looking for
You have solid hands-on experience with Fortigate firewalls and enjoy tackling complex network challenges. You take ownership, stay organised under pressure, and collaborate well with others who value clean, reliable and well-engineered solutions. You communicate clearly, think proactively, and feel confident working independently when needed.
Fluency in English is required, and Swedish is a strong advantage.
What experiences you bring
Hands-on expertise with Fortigate firewalls (rule creation, security profiles, IPSec VPNs, log analysis, troubleshooting).
Experience working with FortiManager (sync status, pushing changes, working safely in the platform).
Strong networking fundamentals at a CCNA-equivalent level: VLANs, trunk/access ports, port-channels, routing (BGP/OSPF), switch configuration.
Understanding of cloud networking on a major cloud platform (Azure, AWS or GCP).
Ability to self-manage and deliver reliably in a demanding ops environment.
Fluency in English, spoken and written.
Experience with any of the following is a bonus: Broader Fortinet products, Check Point, Aruba SD-WAN, zScaler, Infoblox or Algosec, Terraform or Ansible, CI/CD tooling, Advanced Azure or AWS networking knowledge

The hiring process
Selection
Once we receive your application, our Talent Team reviews it to assess your background and experience.
First point of contact
If there's a potential match, we'll reach out by email or phone to set up a first call. Keep an eye on your inbox.
Keep an eye on your inbox (and spam folder!) so you don’t miss us.
TA-Screening
Your first conversation is with someone from our Talent Team. We'll cover your background, what you're looking for and how the role fits. You'll also get a clear picture of how we work at Redeploy and there's always time for your questions.
In-depth interview
Next, you'll meet the manager for the area. Together, you'll go deeper into how we work, what kind of assignments you'd be involved in and what the day-to-day actually looks like. It's also a chance for both sides to assess the match: background, way of working and team fit.
Skills interview
This is where we look more closely at how you think and work. Depending on the role, you'll walk through a case, discuss real scenarios or talk us through your approach to a problem. You'll also get a better sense of how we collaborate and what it's like to work at Redeploy day-to-day.
Final interview
In the final step, you'll meet one of our managers. The conversation focuses on your goals, how you want to develop and what we expect from the role. You'll also get a full picture of our offer: compensation, benefits and what comes next. The aim is that you leave with no open questions.
Offer & pre-boarding
If it feels right on both sides, we take references and move forward with an offer. Once the contract is signed, we set a start date and kick off pre-boarding. Before day one, we make sure you're set up and we invite you to team activities so you're already part of the team before you walk through the door.

What’s the deal with the name Redeploy?
Let’s break it down. "Redeploy" means to move or rearrange something for a better purpose. When we launched, the term wasn't really a thing in the data/IT world. Now, it's all about taking what's already there and setting it up somewhere better. That's exactly what we do—help our customers spot opportunities and redeploy them into smarter, stronger solutions.
